Job Description:
As a Full-Time Accounting Specialist at PikHaul, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. You will play a critical role in maintaining our financial health and supporting our growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Record-Keeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for all transactions.
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable:
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in the development and management of the company’s budget.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
- Prepare financial forecasts to support business planning.
- Tax Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Work with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.
- Financial Reporting:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Present financial reports to management and stakeholders.
- Internal Controls:
- Develop and implement internal control procedures to safeguard company assets.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal controls.

Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Nice to have
- Certificates in Finance (CMA) is an add value
- Past Experience in the logistics or transportation industry accounting.
- Experience in writing online content
- Knowledge of Cash Flow Optimization is an add value.
